I got the Rodecaster v1 and it's amazing. I hear even better things about the v2 and the recently released smaller version. Onboard amp, EQ, Noise Gate, high pass and the Aphex stuff is really good. And recording a backup stream directly to SD is chefs kiss.
There, it joins the audio from a @shure SM7B that goes into a @rodemics Rodecaster Pro.
For video, I run a @Sony A7C with a Sigma 24mm lens into a @AtomosGlobal Ninja V and then via @elgato Camlink into a Mac Mini.
I talk into an Elgato Prompter and am surrounded by 3 @AputureLighting lights: an Amaran 100, some other, (forgot, lol) and an Infinibar PB6.
Neat! I got the Amaran lights here too, and I recommend getting a Light Dome that fits them, it's great for diffusion :)
I use WhisprFlow for all my prompting, brainstorming, and note-taking. Otter .ai for conversations, calls, and longer sessions. But WhisprFlow with a keyboard shortcut, or, if you want to be SPECTACULARLY nerdy, the Stream Deck Pedal (non-ironically, it's amazing)
Ceiling Rail Mounting System
Did some upgrading in the studio. The ceiling rail mounting system is now in place, holding most of my lights. I'll be adding a few more things (mics and cameras) to this over time. So much more space to walk with the clunky light stands out of the way.
The fun part: the DJI mic pictured here allows for an actual lapel mic with a cable to be plugged in and still have the whole thing be wireless. Get an under-shirt small mic and plug it in. Magic.
With the ZV-1, I had an always-on HDMI-based setup. No need to do the USB data thing. My USB only charged the camera, which I never turned off and thus didn't have to change zoom settings. Grabbed a capture card and a microHDMI cable and BOOM. HD video, never needed to touch the camera, could even mount a prompter and use an iPad beneath it.
