Replaced one of my favorite speakers of all time. We got it in green because why not. Kitchen to deck to anywhere I want. Perfect.

Yale Assure Lock 2 Plus

two years in

Not quite as good as the Schlage Encode Plus, but it's looks better. Point my Apple Watch at it and it opens. Works for my wife's watch too. Zero friction.

Nest Doorbell (Gen 3)

Still testing this. Paying for the sub because I have Gemini. It catches every package arrival and recognizes familiar faces. No strong feelings yet.

Rachio Smart Hose Timer

Before these, I was going outside constantly to start and stop sprinklers. Now I don't think about them at all. Just don't leave them out when it freezes.

Philips Hue Slim 6 Inch LED

Moved on from Hue years ago but came crawling back. Recessed LED Hue lights in the ceiling during our renovation. They look incredible and stay connected.

HomePod mini

My way to get HomeKit brains to my Wreck Room. Sounds amazing for podcasts, decent for music. A solid step up from the iPhone speaker.

Eero 6+

I've tested a lot of mesh systems and keep coming back to Eero. WiFi 6, great value, and it just works. This is the one I always recommend.

Sonos Era 300

Sonos Play:5 knockoff. I don't think it sounds as good, but it looks way cooler and a step up over the Sonos Move. Probably best as a surround speaker.

Amazon Basics Smart Plug

I like these because they work with Matter, so you only need to use the Apple Home app. Setup takes two seconds.

I have two of these. Perfect way to control dumb tech without a phone. I use mine to turn on my YouTube lights and for turning on a light strip.

Aqara 2K Indoor Camera E1

We have two in our kids' bedrooms as nanny cams. Never touch the Aqara app. We only use it for HomeKit Secure Video.
